Features

Everything your money does, in one register you control.

JamCash tracks five kinds of accounts and your net worth, files transactions with rules you write, checks budgets against real spending, projects savings goals, finds recurring bills, and reports on all of it. Bank sync through SimpleFIN is optional and read-only, and 16 MCP tools let AI assistants work with your numbers.

Every account adds up to one net worth.

JamCash tracks checking, savings, credit card, loan and investment accounts, kept by hand or synced, and adds them up into one net worth figure it records every day.

Your categories, filed by your rules.

JamCash files transactions into categories you define, using rules that match the description by what it contains, how it starts, or a pattern. Rules run on every sync, and transfers between your own accounts are paired, so moving money to savings never counts as spending.

Budgets that check themselves against real spending.

A JamCash budget is one amount per category per month, compared against what you actually spent, with optional rollover into next month.

  • Budget against actual for every category, with overspending flagged
  • Rollover carries an unspent or overspent balance into next month
  • Templates set a standing amount, so next month is ready before it starts

Goals with a finish date you can trust.

Each savings goal has a target, a balance and a monthly contribution, and JamCash projects when you will reach it and says plainly if you are behind your own date.

The subscriptions you forgot come to you.

JamCash spots charges that repeat and suggests them as recurring items, which you confirm or dismiss, each shown as its monthly cost. A price change over 10% on a bill you confirmed gets noted, so a quiet increase doesn’t slip by.

Reports you can take with you.

JamCash has three reports, spending by category, income against expense by month, and net worth over time, and each exports to CSV.

  • Month, quarter, year to date or a custom range
  • Analytics with month-over-month trends
  • A credit score log you record by hand, charted over time

Bank sync that reads, then asks.

JamCash connects to banks through SimpleFIN Bridge, which is read-only: you paste a one-time setup token, and JamCash pulls the last 90 days every four hours. It never sees your bank password and can’t move money. Choose which accounts sync, and if the bank changes a row you edited, it waits for you.

SimpleFIN Bridge costs $1.50 a month or $15 a year, paid to SimpleFIN. Skip it and keep accounts by hand.

Bring your own AI assistant.

JamCash runs an MCP server with 16 tools, so assistants such as Claude can answer questions about your money from the same numbers you see. You decide what a key can do.
